Creating YOUR Brand

Branding is everywhere you look. From Nike's "Just Do It" to jingles associated with fast-food chains, landing a business branding imprint in today's business world is a challenge. Every business starts with an idea. An idea comes from a person. The person needs to know what they stand for to cultivate that idea. That person is you.

Join WeCan in October where we join Beth Montgomery in helping you create your brand.

BIO Beth is the owner of Project? Done! and Project: Save a Life. Having been born outside of the USA and lived through a diverse home and work experience, she knows the importance of creating your brand in this busy world. Beth has been an entry-level employee to the owner of 3 businesses and the one most important aspect of branding she has learned is that branding starts with YOU and how you impact your COMMUNITY. Find your passion, find your purpose, and get inspired to get YOU where you want to be.

Peer Learning

Wednesday, June 12th

1130am-1:30pm

Camp Hill Giant Community Center

3301 Trindle Road Camp Hill

Join us for a unique interactive peer learning session. President, Abeer Allen, will facilitate this group discussion. Come prepared with your most pressing issue and work together as a group to resolve this issue.

Why is peer learning so effective? Much of it comes down to the fact that learners share similar experiences, and that common experience has significant benefits. Employees understand the issues they face on a day-to-day basis better than any consultant or trainer could.

That level of insight does wonders for learners. Think about it this way. If you’re a manager, who are you going to trust for insights on how to better communicate within your group? An external trainer who has a management consulting certificate, or another manager in your company who’s already gone through the same problems and come up with an effective solution?

That shared experience builds a connection based on trust and respect. That connection fosters learning in a way that consultants, trainers, and experts just can’t.

Negotiating Your Worth

wecan event.jpg

It is possible to get paid what you are worth. Buy do you KNOW YOUR WORTH? Do you ask for what you are worth or what it is going to take to get the sale? This month Catharene Garula will delve into the art of negotiation and learn skills to increase our negotiation power.

We invite you to join us
Wednesday, August 15th
from
11:30am - 1:30pm
at
The West Shore Country Club
(100 Brentwater Road, Camp Hill)

Since the early 1980s, Catharene has been on the forefront of creating positive change.  As a young mother and activist, she spearheaded the relocation initiative for Centralia, PA, where an underground coal mine fire damaged the health and property values of local residents. The $42 million Federal appropriation was the USA’s largest environmental relocation of the 20th Century.

Catharene, is a woman of spirit and wit. She certified in negotiations with the International Right of Way Association to assist communities in disaster to receive full market value for their homes during negotiations with government entities and large corporations. Her successful career as an executive in the high tech and digital media industries strengthened her negotiation skills.

Catharene remains passionate about cutting edge technologies that improve quality of life and accelerate business. After a series of advancements in sales, marketing, strategy, and leadership positions at digital powerhouses, she founded Achievement Interactive in 2013. Achievement Interactive’s diverse client base includes media companies, global brands establishing business in the USA, non-profits making changes for the greater good and government organizations striving to meet the needs of their constituents.

With the goal of creating a fun retirement business (a decade in advance) she launched  Nana’s Teas in 2016.  Steeped Tea has become a great vehicle for making local friends with fellow tea lovers and celebrating good times with them.

Catharene and her husband, Sam enjoy stargazing, gardening, raising free range chickens, honey bees and hosting events at their Perry County farm  http://farmoccasions.com/. They are the parents of five children and have three precious grandchildren. In their spare time they nap. You should, too!
